Whether you’ve never tried your have at wakeboarding or waterskiing before, or if you’re a pro behind a boat but fancy trying the cable for the first time, you’ll need to take one of our introductory sessions. These courses run three times a day in the summer, at 12:00, 14:00 and 16:00.
When you arrive for the introductory session, you will be given all the equipment you will need while you sign in at reception. Once everyone has arrived and is changed, you will watch our safety video in our briefing room. This lasts approximately ten minutes and covers a lot of important safety information as well as some basic instruction on how to get around a cableski.
After the briefing, one of our British Waterski coaches will take you to the beach and go through some basic dry-land instruction on getting started and controlling the boards. Next, it’s time to get wet!
If you’ve never wakeboarded or waterskied before, you’ll be starting on a kneeboard. Kneeboards are a great way of getting started and learning how to negotiate the corners. They are very stable and so you will find you progress very quickly. It won’t be long before you’re completing laps of the cable and ready to progress onto a wakeboard.
Everyone learns at their own pace, and so when you reach this point, one of our coaches will teach you the basics of getting up on a wakeboard on a one-to-one basis.
If you’re already an expert behind the boat, we can use your intro session to teach you some more advanced cable techniques, from hitting kickers and sliders, to landing your first cable raley!
The intro session lasts twon and a half hours, which is plenty of time, as wakeboarding is very physically demanding.
Once you have completed the introductory course, you can come back and use the cable any time you like.
The intro session costs £45.00 per person, which includes all your instruction, equipment and time on the water. Places are limited, with only twenty per session, so pre-booking is recommended. You can book your course

The minimum age to use the cable is ten, however kids under 16 may want to come to one of our Kids Mornings.
